Calorie Counts Given in Video:
Dry white wines from 11 – 12% alcohol: 105 – 120 calories/ 150mL pour
Brut sparkling wines, 12% alcohol: approx. 85 calories/ flute (100mL pour)
Dry red wines from 12 – 13% alcohol: 120 – 140 calories/ 150mL pour
Port (20% alcohol, 100g/L residual sugar): 145 calories/ 75mL pour

Wine Suggestions Given in Video:
White Wines:
Muscadet, Loire Valley, France
Soave, Veneto, Italy
Sémillon, Hunter Valley, Australia
Vinho Verde, Portugal (make sure you get a dry style, ˂2g/L residual sugar)

Red Wines:
Bordeaux
Gamay, Beaujolais, France (or Niagara, Canada)
Cool climate Syrah (try the Northern Rhône Valley, France)
Cool climate Pinot Noir (try Burgundy, France, or Tasmania, Australia, or Marlborough, New Zealand)

Serve 2/3 crisp, dry white wine, with 1/3 sparkling water, twist of lemon: approx. 75 calories/150mL
