In this video you’ll learn about the four types of white wine that you’ll encounter everywhere: on wine menus, in wine stores, and at almost every happy hour. You’ll learn how to identify them and tell them apart by their aromas, body, acidity, and sweetness.
First we talk about riesling, a German wine that was unfairly maligned in the 90s as a sweet plonk. Not all rieslings taste like thawed grape juice concentrate! In fact, this one of the food-friendliest wines around. I especially love it with General Tso’s chicken… 🥡
Next we’ll go over sauvignon blanc, one of the most beautifully perfumed white wines you’ll ever encounter. It’s like spring in a glass. And you NEED to try it with 🐐 cheese!
Then we move on to pinto grigio, also called pinot gris. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of pinot gris, and I’ll tell you why.
Finally we graduate to big, beautiful, buxom chardonnay–the favorite of nearly every Real Housewife! 😂 I’ll tell you why chardonnay sometimes smells like toasted marshmallows (hint: it has nothing to do with the grapes).
If you are one the dozen people to watch this video about white wines, I thank you for your time and wish you a pleasant day! 🙂
