Making Parsnip Wine is easy and creates a sweet, potent wine that is great with Game or just on its own. In this video Davin (from Brewbitz Homebrew Shop) takes you through how to brew Parsnip Wine.

You will need…

Ingredients:
3lb Parsnips
3lb sugar
1 Gallon Boiling Water
3/4 Pint Raisin Juice
1oz Oak Chips (optional)
1 tsp Citric Acid
1 tsp Pectolase
1 tsp Yeast
Yeast Nutrient
Campden Tablets

Equipment:
Preserving Pan (or a very big saucepan)
Brewing bucket
Jug
Plastic spoon
Straining bag / Muslin
Simple syphon
Demi-John
Bubbler airlock
Rubber bung
6 bottles
6 corks
corker
Hydrometer (optional)
Thermometer (optional)

Then follow our video and see how easy it is to make delicious, potent, colourful parsnip wine.

It should take about a month from digging up to bottling, then its best to leave it for 6 months to condition in the bottles.
