Homemade apple wine is made with simple ingredients such as apple , sugar and small amount whole wheat. Wheat is used for fermentation. It can be replaced by rice or ragi( finger millet) but fermentation days varies.

INGREDIENTS:
Apple – 200 grms
Sugar – 1 cup(250 grms)
Wheat – 1/4 cup
Water – 3 cups(750 ml)
Instructions to prepare wine:
1. Chop cleaned and washed apples into small pieces and transfer it into a air-tight container.
2. Add sugar, wheat, 2 cups of boiled and cooled water into the container and cover the lid.
3. Keep the container in the dark and dry place for 7 days.
4. After 7 days, strain the contents into a vessel, dilute it by adding a cup of boiled and cooled water, transfer it into a glass container.
5. Cover the lid tightly and place it in dark place for another 2 days so that it will ferment well.
6. After 2 days, rose wine is ready to serve. It can be stored up to 1 year. The taste gets better as it ages., just make sure you use well cleaned apples and boiled and cooled water in this wine making process.
