With the likes of Vouvray and white Sancerre taking the limelight, the red wines of the Loire Valley are often a little neglected. However, these red wines are some of the most popular in France – and for good reason too!
In this session Anna will dive into the grape varieties of the red wines of the Loire including pinot noir, malbec, cabernet franc as well as local lesser-known varieties such as grolleau.
We’ll cover the appellations that produce red wines and what to look for on the label when exploring the world of Loire rouge.
