Sip-Size – An introduction to the wines of North West Italy

Wine Types
North-West Italy is home to the smaller regions of Lombardy, Val d’Aosta and Liguria as well as arguably the country’s most famous wine producing area – Piedmont.

Famous exports from Piedmont include Barolo and Barbaresco, both made solely from the nebbiolo grape and loved around the world. But there is plenty more to fall in love with from the region, such as wines made from dolcetto and barbera as well as a host of white and sparkling wines too.

In this 45-minute session, Anna will explore the diverse wines of North-West Italy, not only from Piedmont but from its surrounding regions – some of which were once more famous!

We encourage you to buy one, two or all three of the wines but you’re also welcome to join with a cup of tea!
