When you think of wine tasting you might think ok… time to book a trip to Napa Valley or uber to Woodinville. But what if I told you there is an amazing tasting room literally in Seattleâs backyard?? Browne Family Winery is right on 1st Ave. in the hustle and bustle of Pioneer Square. So of course, me and my foodie friend Kelly Le went to check it out!
I usually love my reds but besides that, I honestly donât know a lot about wines. I pretty much can tell if itâs a white, red or rose. So, I was super stoked to meet the owner, Courtney Browne, along with her Tasting Room manager who quite literally showed me the ropes on how to taste. We played a fun blind folded aroma game to kick things off and then tried a couple of their signature flights. My personal fav was the sparkling flight which was *chefs kiss* and perfect for summer! I loved how approachable they made wine tasting — and I never once felt like I didnât know enough to explain âwhat I was tastingâ etc.
