Having recently visited China our Wine Director, David Allen MW tastes one of the quality Chinese wines he tasted while he was there Xige Estate’s N50 Ningxia Red 2019. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Gerneisht, he found it really enjoyable. Xige Estate (meaning West Dove) is named after the nearby West Dove Lake.

First produced in the mid-1980s, Milmanda is revered as one of Spain’s most classic Chardonnays. The Milmanda Vineyard was planted exclusively with Chardonnay more than 40 years ago. 36 acres, this well-established vineyard lies at the foot of the Milmanda castle. The lime-rich calcareous clay soils have moderate drainage and high water-holding capacity. This wine
