Most people wouldn’t think to make their own vanilla extract, primarily because it’s easy to buy in a store but more importantly because, when you find out it takes a year, you’ll probably turn away. But if you make it right now, it’ll be ready just in time for the next holiday season! And it’s the easiest recipe in the history of cooking.
Ingredients:
2 cups vodka or bourbon
5-6 vanilla beans
sealed glass bottle
1. Add ingredients to the bottle and seal. Let it rest at room temperature for 6-12 months. Enjoy!
