What are the differences between Champagne & Sparkling wines?
Champagne, Cava, Prosecco, Cremant what do they mean?
This video will give you all the answers you are looking for. For starters, did you know that most of these are appellations which mean regions?
For instance, Champagne and Crémant are made in France, Cava is made in Spain, Prosecco is made in Italy.
To bare these names, the wine MUST be produced in these regions, but there are tones of other sparklings wines.
Outside of Champagne, France produces Sparkling Wines in 23 other regions and many countries produce other beautiful famous sparkling wines around the world, like “Metodo Classico” in Italy, “Traditional method” in the USA, “Cape Classique” in South Africa, “Espumante” in Portugal, last but not least, you have “Sekt” in Germany and Austria.
