Rose Wine Recipe | Rose wine in 7 days | Coorg style Rose wine | Homemade Rose wine without using yeast

Homemade rose wine is made with simple ingredients such as rose, sugar and small amount whole wheat. Wheat is used for fermentation. It can be replaced by rice or ragi( finger millet) but fermentation days varies.

INGREDIENTS:

Rose petals – 100 grms
Sugar – 1 cup(250 grms)
Wheat – 1/4 cup
Water – 4 cups(1 litre)

Instructions to prepare wine:

1. Into a air-tight container, add washed and cleaned rose petals.
2. Add sugar, wheat, boiled and cooled water and cover the lid.
3. Keep the container in the dark place for 7 days. Stir once or twice in-between(to make the petals completely immerse in water).
4. After 7 days, strain the contents into a vessel, dilute it by adding a cup of boiled and cooled water, transfer it into a glass container.
5. Cover the lid tightly and place it in dark place for another 2 days so that it will ferment well.
6. After 2 days, rose wine is ready to serve. The taste gets better as it ages. It can be stored up to 1 year, just make sure you use well cleaned petals and boiled and cooled water in this wine making process.
